CEO Hendrik Scherf and the four other owners wanted to ensure that the brand and company culture were preserved after the sale and that the location and employees were secured. An initial offer did not meet the company's value, so they sought a better deal with CARL's help. CARL impressed with their matchmaking technology and attracted numerous interested parties. The holding company HM3T decided on the financial investor ECM, who was expected to continue the company's vision. The sale price was 30% above expectations, and Scherf remains as CEO with a significant stake in the company. The other former owners also retained shares. CARL successfully met the specific wishes of all five shareholders and completed the sale successfully.
