The Cionix GmbH, a highly specialized provider of IT infrastructure based in Brandenburg, was sold by its sole owner and managing director Jan Schreiber to the Dogado Group. After more than 20 years, Schreiber decided in the fall of 2021 to focus more intensively on succession planning. He was recommended CARL through his bank advisor, who, together with Lars Mackel from 2Gedanken GmbH, supported the project.
After preparing the sales documents and carefully selecting potential buyers, Cionix received two indicative offers. Special emphasis was placed on company culture and the chemistry between the Cionix team and the buyers. In the final negotiation phase, expertise was required to avoid uncertainties caused by contractual delays. At the same time, the Dogado Group was sold by Triton to Cinven and the Ontario Teachers’ Pension Plan Board.
The sale was successfully completed, with the team and the location in Brandenburg remaining intact. Jan Schreiber will continue to be available to the company for a transitional period.
